MID-YEAR SHOWCASE
Our Mid-Year Showcase is such a special part of our students' dance journey. It gives every dancer the opportunity to step on stage, perform in front of a live audience, and celebrate everything they’ve worked on throughout the year so far!
Beyond just performing, our showcase play a huge role in building confidence. Dancers learn how to present themselves, overcome nerves, and take pride in their achievements! They develop resilience, teamwork, and a real sense of accomplishment.
Our dancers work incredibly hard; building their skills, refining their routines, and committing to their classes each week! By the time they step on stage, they are showcasing 6 months of dedication, growth, and perseverance, which makes it even more special.
Our MidYear concert is a super fun, high-energy experience for dancers AND families. Bring signs, wear your TDA Merch and colours and warm up those voices for cheering! It's going to be a blast!
GETTING READY
HOW DO I KNOW EVERYTHING I NEED?
1. Save the showcase dates and location in your calendar.
2. Know your dancer's class name and level.
3. Find your dancer's show in the schedule below and confirm their show time.
4. Note your dancer's arrival time and pick-up details.
5. Read what your dancer needs to wear. Head to your program info page below for everything.
6. Purchase your tickets online (from 7am | Monday 1 June)
7. Come along on the day, cheer loudly and enjoy every moment!

PARKING
There is no onsite parking available at the venue, so please plan ahead and allow extra time to find a park and make your way in before the show begins.
Street parking is available along Bunya Street and the surrounding streets in the Maleny town area. We recommend allowing extra time to find a park and walk to the venue, as parking can fill quickly.
Please observe all street parking signs and time limits when choosing your spot.

DANCER TICKETS
TDA dancers do not need a ticket. This applies both when your dancer is performing and when they are attending another show as a spectator. Dancers should arrive in their TDA uniform so our team can easily identify them at the door.
Please be aware that seating is general admission and may fill quickly. Depending on availability, dancers attending as spectators may need to sit on the floor or on a parent's lap if seats are limited. We appreciate your understanding and flexibility on the day!

PRACTICE AT HOME
HOW CAN MY DANCER PRACTISE?
Class videos are shared via BAND after each lesson. Head to your dancer's class group in the BAND app to find the most recent recordings. Regular practice at home builds confidence and makes the showcase moment so much more rewarding for your dancer.

COMMON QUESTIONS
What time should we arrive?
Please check the arrival time in your dancer's info page above. It lays out each showcase their arrival time as well as the showcase start time. If you are still unsure please reach out to the team.
Where will my dancer be when they are not performing?
Dancers are seated in a special reserved section of the audience, supervised by our team. They will love watching their TDA classmates and friends perform on stage!
My dancer is in multiple classes. Are they in more than one show?
This depends on your dancer's classes and location. We have kept our levels and locations together however, if you are a part of our troupes, a soloist or acro extension you will have an additional showcase. Please check the schedule above or reach out to us directly and we will confirm exactly which show/s apply to your dancer.
My dancer will not be able to attend the showcase. What should I do?
All of our dancers are included in the Mid-Year Showcase and we would love every single one of them on stage. If your dancer is unable to attend, please let us know via email as soon as possible so we can inform their teacher.
Please continue bringing your dancer to class as normal in the meantime. The work they are doing in class is exactly what will be performed on stage, so every lesson still counts and their participation is just as valuable whether they are performing on the day or not.
Do babies and toddlers need a ticket?
Little ones sitting on a lap do not need their own ticket. Anyone who requires their own seat will need a ticket.
Can I film & take photos of my dancer on stage?
Absolutely yes! Families are warmly encouraged to photograph and film throughout the show. We will also have photo opportunities so you can capture some memories with your dancers and your family. If you share on social media, please tag us at @tda.sunshinecoast
What if my dancer is unwell on the day?
Please contact us as soon as possible via phone if your dancer is unwell. We understand that things happen and will always communicate with the relevant teachers.
Is there a recording of the show available?
We do not have a videographer filming the full routine like our concert. We encourage families to film and photograph their own dancer's performance on the day.
