HOW THE DAY WORKS
A SIMPLE OVERVIEW FOR FAMILIES
Here is what your Little Wings showcase day will look like from start to finish.
1. Dancers are dropped off and marked off by our teachers at our drop-off entrance. Our team will be clearly visible to guide you.
2. Families head inside the venue, grab a coffee and find their seats before the showcase begins.
3. Each Little Wings class performs their routine one after another on stage. While in a special dancer's section of the audience, our teachers keep your little one happy and entertained.
4. At the end of the concert, every Little Wings dancer walks the red carpet on stage. This moment is everything.
5. A TDA team member will announce how the pick up process will run. Parents will be directed to their section of the hall to collect their dancer. Please wait until your little one has been properly marked off before calling them over. This is for everyone's safety and we take it seriously.
A NOTE FROM OUR TEAM
YOUR FIRST LITTLE WINGS SHOWCASE OR CONCERT
If you have not yet experienced the wonder of a Little Wings Showcase, we completely understand that it might be hard to wrap your head around a concert full of 3 to 5-year-olds. So we want to reassure you of two things.
It works. And more than that, it is one of the most magical and rewarding days of the year for everyone involved.
We can count on one hand the number of times a dancer has not danced on stage, and even those little ones always found their special moment. Every child is seen. Every child is celebrated.
WE ARE PREPARED
Our team is trained for this day. We take every moment seriously while keeping the whole experience calm, joyful and fun for the children and for you.
IT IS MAGICAL
There is truly nothing like watching a room full of tiny dancers find their moment on stage. Bring tissues. You have been warned.
EVERY CHILD SHINES
Whether your little one dances every step or needs a little extra encouragement, their moment will come. We make sure of it.
If you have any questions, nerves or apprehensions at all, please do not hesitate to call us. There is no such thing as a silly question when it comes to your dancer's first showcase and we would love to talk it through with you.

LITTLE WINGS MID-YEAR SHOWCASE - RUN OF THE DAY
9:00am | Dancers arrive, are dropped off and marked off by TDA team at the drop-off entrance. Families can get a coffee, show their ticket at the door & find a seat it the audience.
Dancers are settled into their section in the audience with teachers and student teachers.
9:30am | Show begins!
10:00am | Show finishes & dancers take to the red carpet.
10:15am | Dancers pick up. Please wait for the announcement before collecting your little one.
UNIFORM & HAIR
WHAT DOES MY DANCER WEAR?
Please ensure your Little Wings dancer arrives ready to go in the correct uniform. Everything they need is listed below.
LITTLE WINGS CLASS UNIFORM
Please wear your Little Wings class uniform as worn to class each week. Ensure it is clean and complete. If you need to replace any part of your uniform, visit our uniform shop before the showcase.

HAIR NEAT
For safety & focus, hair must be worn neatly and in the style below:
Long Hair or Girls
Must wear hair in a neat bun
Long fringes should be pinned or gelled back
We welcome clips, scrunchies and bun blossoms, provided they are secure and worn close to the bun
Short Hair or Boys
Hair should be neatly groomed
Fringes should be pinned or gelled back
Longer hair should be tied back so it is out of the face
Please label all shoes and winter tops clearly with your dancer's name. While our team takes great care of everything, labelled items make it so much easier for everyone backstage.
DOES MY DANCER NEED MAKEUP?
No makeup is required for our Mid-Year Showcase. If your little one would like a touch of glitter in their hair or on their face for the occasion, that is absolutely fine and very welcome. Keep it simple and fun!
BACKSTAGE
WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING FOR MY LITTLE ONE?
Because the Little Wings show is a short and beautifully contained concert, we kindly ask that you send your dancer with as little as possible. Please do not pack snacks, activities or extra items for backstage.

If your dancer has a comfort item such as a small soft toy that will truly help them feel settled coming backstage with us, please make sure it is clearly labelled and we will do our very best to look after it. Please note that TDA does not take responsibility for personal items brought backstage.
PRACTICE AT HOME
HOW CAN MY DANCER PRACTISE?
Class videos are shared via BAND after each lesson. Head to your dancer's class group in the BAND app to find the most recent recordings. Even a few minutes of fun practice at home each week builds confidence and makes the stage moment so much more joyful for your little one.
PHOTOS & FILMING
CAN I FILM & TAKE PHOTOS OF MY DANCER?
Absolutely yes! Families are warmly encouraged to capture every moment. Please feel free to photograph and film your dancer's performance throughout the show. We will also have a professional photographer there on the day that will be capturing some special moments.
