BAND

BAND is our primary communication app and an important part of staying connected at TDA. It allows easy communication between the studio, teachers and families, ensuring you never miss important information.

Through BAND, families have access to class updates, reminders, photos, videos, music and practice resources. This means you can stay up to date, celebrate your dancer’s progress and support them to practise confidently at home. Both parents and students who have their own device are welcome to join.

BAND can be accessed on smartphones, tablets and computers. It is a private and secure platform, only available to families enrolled in each class. All groups are monitored by our admin team to ensure it remains a safe, supportive and positive online space for everyone.

Each family is required to join at least two BAND groups:

TDA Family BAND

Your dancer’s class or age group BAND

If your dancer attends multiple classes or days, or if you have more than one dancer enrolled, you will need to join each relevant class BAND as well. For example, if your dancer attends Junior 1 Jazz in Maleny, you will need to join the Junior 1 Maleny BAND as well as the TDA Family BAND.

It is essential that all families join both the Community BAND and their dancer’s class BAND to receive all important information.

Please note that BAND is used for class-related communication only. All administration enquiries such as fees, payments, uniforms and enrolments should be directed to our admin team via email or phone.

1. Initial set up
Download the BAND app (for parent or dancers over 12) or the BAND for Kids App (for dancers under 12) on your device via the App Store or Google Play.

2. Create your account
Sign up using your mobile number, email, Google or Facebook. When prompted for your age please ensure you enter the users age as those under 12 have restricted access.

3. Join your dancer’s BAND groups
Once logged in, you can add your dancer’s class BANDs by:
